Elpidio "Pete" Martinez

Elpidio “Pete” Martinez passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 72.  Pete was a lifetime resident of Floresville and was born to loving parents Teresa and Elpidio Martinez Sr. on July 26, 1950.  He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and leaves behind a legacy of faith and love.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Teresa and Elpidio Martinez Sr and his brother, Ruben Martinez.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Susie Martinez and children, Roxanne and (George) Silva, Andrea Martinez and (Paul) Sanchez, Carmen Rocha, Denise M. and (Jesse) Ximenez, and Dustin Rocha.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nissa Mills, Demi Martinez, Johnny Lee Garza, Kyle Palacios, Joshua M. Garza, Matthew J. Geigenmiller, Gaby Geigenmiller, Lucas Ximenez, Brooke Ximenez, and Dustin Rey Rocha as well as by his Great Grandchildren, Mason Saldana, Jaceson Saldana, Kain L. Geigenmiller, Averie R. Garza, and Kooper Palacios.  Pete will also be dearly missed by his brother, Nash and (Gloria) Martinez and numerous family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
