Dominga "Minga" Vasquez Rivas

Dominga “Minga”  Vasquez Rivas went into the loving arms of the Lord on December 3, 2023 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 85 years old.  She was born to loving parents, Charlie & Dominga Vasquez in Sutherland Springs, Texas on December 21, 1937.  Dominga was a proud, longtime resident of Stockdale, Texas where she raised her children and left a legacy of love and family.

Dominga was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Dominga Vasquez and her son, Ernest Rivas.  She was also preceded by her siblings, Macrus Vasquez, Josie V. Chavez, Maria Villarreal, Annie Morales, and Raymunda Ruiz.  Dominga is survived by her beloved husband, Alfredo “Nune” Rivas, and her children, Alfredo Rivas Jr. (Mary), Maria Isabel Rodriguez (Tony Garcia), and Billy Joe Rivas {and his son, Billy Joe Rivas Jr.}.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her, especially her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on December 7, 2023 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on December 8, 2023 at Franklin Funeral Home.  Interment will directly follow at Sutherland Springs Cemetery.
