Dolores M. Ramos passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 22 days. She was born on January 13, 1937, in Floresville, Texas, to Elias & Maria Perez Marroquin.
Dolores was a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas. Dolores went to school in Floresville and at home, learned the basics of farm and ranch living. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. Dolores was a seamstress who sewed and altered for all of her family with great joy. Dolores was also known for her fabulous meals and great cooking ability.
Dolores enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, caring for them as each child grew. Dolores went to her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren’s performances, from sports to class musicals and graduations.
Dolores was also a woman who took great pride in presenting herself in the best way possible and she was adamant about dressing up daily. You would rarely see her out in public without her hair styled and her makeup perfected (red lipstick included)!
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Domingo M. Ramos; her parents, Elias & Maria Perez Marroquin; her son, Andres Ramos Sr.; her sister, Lupe Luzano; and her brothers, Louis Marroquin Sr. and Trinidad Marroquin. She is survived by her daughter, Dora R. Castro and husband, Steve Castro, of Floresville, and her sister Theresa Cantu of San Antonio. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jesika Ranae Ramos (Aaron) of Floresville, Leslie Gonzales, Steve Gonzales III (Marlyn) of San Antonio, Texas, and Andres Ramos Jr. of Jourdanton, Texas. Dolores will be forever cherished by her great-grandchildren, Destiney Caprice Spencer, Lawrence Jacob Villarreal, Jayden Ray Garcia, Fabien Domingo Gonzales, and River Jade Ybarra. Dolores will truly be forever missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on October 14, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a rosary recited at 10:30 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am and interment will directly follow at Picosa-Martinez Cemetery in Floresville.
