Denise Elena Bishop

Denise Elena Bishop, age 66, went into her eternal rest on December 22, 2024 in her Elmendorf home.  She was born in Houston, Texas to loving parents, Robert & Flora Kowis on March 28, 1958.  Denise was a shining example of what it means to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Her legacy of joy, resilience, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Flora Kowis; her son, Robert Alan Bishop; her siblings, Debra Angenend & Conrad Kowis; and her father-in-law, Jim Bishop.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Bishop, and her children, Christopher Bishop (Marci), Deanna Schulte (Randy), Jennifer Williams (Marty), Stephanie Ryals (Kenneth), and Jamie Hernandez (Josh).  Denise also leaves behind her grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Rebekah, Kimberly, Travis, Riley, Chase, Haley, Madison, Abigail, Ethan, Zachary, Olivia, and Oliver.  She will be forever cherished by her siblings, Donna Kowis, Dianne Farnham, Robert Kowis (Judy), and Cash Kowis (Tina); as well as by her mother-in-law, Patsy Bishop.  Denise’s warmth and laughter created treasured memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on January 18, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am.
