Debra Wallesch passed away on June 17, 2026, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 70. She was born on February 24, 1956, in Lorain, Ohio. A longtime resident of Floresville, Debra was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose strength of character and unwavering convictions left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. A patriot through and through, she loved her country deeply and lived her life guided by her faith in Jesus. Debra found great joy in raising horses and bassethounds and spent much of her life working on a horse ranch, a place where she felt truly at home. She was also a talented graphic artist whose creativity brought beauty into the world. Above all else, Debra cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Debra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Wallesch, and her parents, Rose & Norris Benedict and Raymond Vanko. She is survived by her loving children, Cassie Bohach (James) and Matt Wallesch (Melissa). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kylie Wallesch, Kelsey Wallesch, Lenny Allen, Melody Allen, and Merlynn Allen. Debra is further survived by her sisters, Cindy Knandel and Pamela Calhoun-Iwanchuk (Paul); her stepsiblings, Noreen, Darlene, Ronnie, and Lynn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A private memorial service will be held with her treasured family and friends.
