With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Debbie C. Hall on April 26th, 2025 at the age of 73.
Debbie was a bright, charismatic spirit whose eyes and smile could light up a room. She loved deeply and lived with an open heart, never fully mending after the loss of her beloved husband, John in 2001. Their love story was one of devotion and friendship, and she carried him with her every day.
Born on October 26th, 1952 in Wisconsin, Debbie had a lifelong passion for learning. She loved music, attending concerts, and exploring history — always curious about the world and eager to understand it better. She was the kind of person who read every information plate at a museum, savoring each story and detail with genuine curiosity. Debbie was deeply moved by the stories, struggles, and enduring spirit of Native peoples throughout history. She attended Pow Wows and collected books on the subject, along with bells, and art about anything else she found interesting. She also found joy in volunteering at the San Antonio Rodeo, where her energy and laughter made her a natural part of the community. Some of her happiest memories included time spent with her grandchildren, traveling to Niagara Falls with John many years ago, and visiting Ellis Island in New York City. She cherished these adventures, embracing every new experience with wonder and gratitude.
Debbie is survived by her daughter Tara Hall Brzozowski, son-in-law Chad Brzozowski, daughter Melissa Martin and son-in-law Mark Martin , granddaughter Hannah Grace Martin, grandson Mark Randall Martin, and sister Jackie Harral who will forever carry her memory, her laughter, and her spirit of curiosity in their hearts.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held on Friday, May 2nd at 10:00am at Franklin Funeral Home at 914 3rd Street in Floresville, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation to honor her late husband or a museum to honor Debbie’s love of learning history.
Though she is no longer with us in person, her vibrant spirit, her love, and her beautiful smile will live on in all who knew and loved her.
