Dan B. Rodriguez passed into his Eternal rest on July 1, 2024 at his Floresville home at the age of 89 years old. He was born to loving parents, Santiago & Sofia Rodriguez in Karnes City, Texas on April 6, 1935. Dan had a servant’s heart and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and later became a member of the American Legion. He continued to serve his community as a United States Post Office Clerk in Santa Ana, California for 32 years. Dan was also a man of Faith and active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, Texas. He was also a lifelong and number one fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Among his many accomplishments and contributions, perhaps one of his most important is simply that he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago & Sofia Rodriguez. He is survived by the love of his life, Gloria G. Rodriguez, and his beloved children, John Daniel Rodriguez, Tony Rodriguez (Cathy), Crystal Denise Rodriguez, and Ralph Rene Rodriguez (Katrina). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jay Rodriguez, Beau Rodriguez, Sarah Rodriguez, Nicole Keir (Sam), Natalie Candela (Michael), Rocky Rodriguez, Zack Eicherly (Amber), Isabella Rodriguez, and Reese Rodriguez. He will also be forever cherished by his great-grandchildren, Jimmie Pepper Keir, Marshal Fox Keir, Michaela Candela, Michelle Candela, and Madelaina Candela. Dan also precedes his siblings, Jimmy Rodriguez and Lupe Martinez. Dan will be especially missed by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 am and Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. The Rodriguez family would like to thank family, friends, and the community for their loving support, kind words and help in keeping Dan’s beautiful memories alive.
