Carl William “C.W.” Raetzsch III passed away on March 27, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on March 22, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Edna and Carl Raetzsch.

C.W. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He had a deep love for the outdoors and was especially passionate about saltwater fishing—he truly lived with a reel in his hand. He also owned and operated an architectural antique store, where he took pride in preserving pieces of history for his community.

C.W. was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Carl Raetzsch, and his siblings, David Raetzsch and Vernette Caranza. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Raetzsch. He will be dearly missed by his children, Aaron Endris (Brooke) and Heather Brooke Anderson (Perry); his grandchildren, Ethan Endris, Kinsley Endris, Tristan Matherne, Sophia Matherne, Adalyn Matherne, and Kolton Anderson. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Betty Saenz (Ralph) and Carla Rosenbaum, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.

The Raetzsch family will be planning services at a later date and would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the kind words, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
