Concepcion "Concha" Cantu

Concepcion “Concha” Cantu entered into her Eternal Rest on September 14, 2023 at the age of 89 years old in Floresville, Texas.  She was born on December 8, 1933 in Hobson, Texas, but was a longtime resident of Floresville.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and faith.

Concepcion was preceded in death by her parents, Sefrina and Julio Molina Ortiz, her husband, Joe M. Cantu, her son, Joel Cantu, and her grandchildren, Virginia Tanner & Alex Ramirez.  She was survived by her children, Julia Ann Ramirez, Janie Barrera (Eddie), Joe O. Cantu (Ginny), Susie Martinez, and her brother, Ramon Ortiz.  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am.  Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am and interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
