Clara Reyes Ortiz

Clara Reyes Ortiz of Seguin went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 7 days. Clara was born on December 27, 1937 in Stockdale, Texas to Adolpho Reyes and Elvira Garza. She lived in many places during her life, from Stockdale to San Angelo, Brady, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Finally, she settled in Seguin, Texas, close to home for the remainder of her days.

Always a hard-worker, Clara was a homemaker, wood cutter, and volunteer at many local churches, living out her Christian faith through service to others. Most recently, she had volunteered at the Stockdale Museum researching what she loved, history.

Survivors include her husband, Roman Gomez Ortiz, and three sons, William Lyle Meek of Colorado Springs, CO, Steven Meek of Ft Worth, and Anthony Kyle Meek of Warner Robins, GA. Her growing legacy includes 12 grandkids and 23 great grandkids. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Shawn Arroyo.

A public visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and services will be held at 5:00 p.m.
