Obituary

Christina Cruz Ximenez passed into her eternal rest on February 2, 2026 in her Floresville, Texas home, at the age of 70. She was born on August 31, 1955 in Floresville, Texas. Christina was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend to many. She was a woman who loved deeply and gave freely of herself. She worked hard, provided faithfully for her family, and always placed the needs of others before her own. Her generosity and kindness were not just qualities she possessed, but values she lived out daily, shaping the lives of those who were blessed to know her.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of El Mesias United Methodist Church, she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women, and her church family held a special and cherished place in her heart. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family takes comfort in the assurance that she is now at peace, resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love, her lessons, and her spirit live on through her family and friends, carried forward in the countless lives she touched and the memories that will be held close forever.

Christina is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Julia and Tomás Ortiz, Sr., who raised her with love and devotion; her biological parents, Cristina and Jacobo Cruz; her siblings, Liborio Ortiz, Sr. and Anastacia Conzales; and her brother/sister-in-laws, Eva Ortiz, Joe Guzman, Joe Tony Gonzales, Sr., and Levi Serna, Sr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Ximenez, Sr., and her loving children, Tony “TJ” Ximenez, Jr. and Beatrice Christina “Bea” Marroquin. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Hannah Alexandra Ximenez, Bethany Victoria Ximenez, Savannah Marie Gomez, Daniel Rey Marroquin, Julian Rene Marroquin, and James Ryan Marroquin. Christina will be forever cherished by her siblings, Jacobo Cruz, Jr., Thomas Ortiz, Jr., and Carmen Guzman, and her brother/sister-in-laws, Jesse & Sandra Ximenez, Lillie Ortiz, Magdalena X. Serna, and Debbie Busanet. Christina leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength that will be felt for generations to come, especially by her numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
