Charles Glenn Jones

Senior Master Sergeant Charles Glenn Jones went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2023 at age 90 with his loving wife Georgia by his side.  Charlie was born in Ellenboro, North Carolina on Feb 2, 1933 to Gordon and Pansy Jones.  He married Georgia Popham on July 3, 1993, they were married for 30 years.  Charlie served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force and obtained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He spent one year in Vietnam, then in 1970 he was stationed in San Antonio and retired from Lackland Air Force Base in 1979.  Charlie was a Christian man, a very loving, and caring husband.  He was a quiet, sincere, and kind man that treated everyone like his best friend.  He loved his family and was a great Husband, Dad, Step Dad and Grandpa.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Pansy Jones, two brothers Corbett, Clyde, his sister Nellene Whitaker, granddaughter Erica Quick and great granddaughter Nevaeh Jansky.  He is survived by his wife Georgia Popham Jones, his son Charles Jones (Trudy) and his step children, Kathy Likens (Greg), Clifton Jansky, Galen Jansky (Jennifer), Danette Boysen (Roger), Patricia Serna (Rick) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place at Franklin Funeral Home on 10:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2023.  A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am and Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.  Serving as Pallbearers were Gordon Jones, Joshua Jones, Justin Likens, Zachary Boysen, Jeret Jansky and Colby Dunagan.
