Casper Vajdos was born on March 7, 1946 to Frank and Emilie Vajdos. He graduated from Karnes City High School in 1964.
For 22 years, Cap proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving one full year in Vietnam and away from his family for nine months in Thailand. Following active duty in the Air Force, he spent 29 years working for several telephone companies in Floresville, where he and his wife, Edna, made their home and raised their family.
Papa also loved his home place west of Karnes City where he grew up. Papa and Nana's Farm, part of the Flat Top 3 Ranch, held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed spending time there with family and friends. Many special memories have been made at the farm and at their home in Floresville.
His family and friends will remember and carry on his love of western movies, watching football, deer hunting, polka dancing with his sister Teresa, morning coffee with his friends, the love and pride he shows for his grandchildren, and his willingness to work hard and help anyone who needed help with anything.
Casper was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Emilie Vajdos; siblings Benjamín Vajdos, Fabian Vajdos, Mary Mihalko, Teresa Belcher, Cecelia Vajdos, Frankie Vajdos, Jerry Vajdos and infant brother Joseph Vajdos; and his father and mother in-law Elias and Magdalene Urbanczyk.
Cap's legacy will be carried on by his wife of 52 years, Edna; sons Greg Vajdos (Jen), Jeff Vajdos (Christine), Brian Vajdos (Caressa) and daughter-in-law Tracy Vajdos; grandchildren Paige Skelton (Colby), Morgan, Cara, Ella, Preston, Sadie, Parker & a great granddaughter due in July; brothers Mike (Kay) Vajdos and Pat (Joni) Vajdos, and brother in-law Eli Urbanczyk, Jr. (Vivian).Visits: 0
