Brian “Bear” Gonzalez passed into his eternal rest on October 12, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 42. He was born on November 20, 1983, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Irma RoblesA proud lifelong South Texas resident, Brian called Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Floresville home with his loving family.

Brian was a hardworking man and a jack of all trades who enjoyed working with his hands. He had a love for football and music, enjoyed spending time fishing, and was always happy to explore somewhere new or simply go for a drive.

Above all, Brian was a family man who cherished his wife and children. He treasured the time he spent with his children, making memories through their adventures together and the simple moments at home. At the heart of his family was his devotion to the love of his life, Sonia, his beloved “Hun Bear.” The moments they shared, both big and small, will remain precious memories for his family in the years ahead.

Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Irma Robles; and his sister, Baby Teresa R. Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife, Sonia Saenz; and his children, Joshua Caleb Saenz, Ethan Alexander Gonzalez, Benjamin Michael Gonzalez, and Lauren Sophia Gonzalez. He also leaves behind his stepfather, Santos Sifuentes; his brother, Gabriel Gonzalez; uncle, Leif Robles; and brother-in-law, Ramiro Salinas. Brian will be forever cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm at Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm.
