Belinda G. Castro

Belinda G. Castro passed into her eternal rest on April 21, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 64.  She was born to loving parents, Ismael & Olivia Gomez on September 28, 1960 in Floresville, Texas where she was born and raised.  Belinda was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her warmth, joy, and kindness knew no bounds and touched the lives of everyone she met.

Belinda is preceded in death by her daughter, Santana Nicole Castro; her grandparents, Frances & Samuel Alfaro and Antonia Barrera & Eddie Gomez; and her aunt, Lillie H. Gomez.  She is survived by her parents, Ismael & Olivia Gomez, and her partner, San Juan Tovar.  She also leaves behind her daughter, Renee Michelle Castro (John), and Renee’s father, Jesse Castro.  Belinda will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Aunise Rose Castro, Isaiah R. Castro, Jeremiah Castro, and Keighan K. Castro.  She also leaves behind her sisters and brother-in laws, Brenda G. Ramos (Gilbert), Rebecca Lucio (David), Jessica Cardenas (Andrew), and Cathy Ojeda (Tom).  Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, especially her nieces, Felicia Marie Lucio & Julianna Leilani Ramos, her nephew, Michael Anthony Ramos, and numerous cousins whom she dearly loved, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am on May 1, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a service will be held at 11:00 am.  Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.  Pallbearers are: Ismael Ramos, Armando Lucio, Alan Ramos, Joshua Lucio, Joey Irons, Christopher Stanley, Keighan Castro, Samantha Estrella, and Chyna Oliva Butler with Tom Ojeda as honorary pallbearer.
