Aurora T. (Treviño) Bravo passed peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord on July 1, 2026, at her home in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 95. She was born on May 6, 1931, in Floresville, Texas, to Fermina & Juan Treviño. Aurora married Elias Bravo, Jr., and they began a journey together—one that would last well over 70 years. Aurora was a housewife and a loving mother who dedicated all her years to her seven children. Aurora was raised in faith and had a strong spiritual foundation, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and became a Guadalupana in her younger years.
Aurora knew the value of hard work, her early experiences would shape the strong, resilient, and selfless woman she would become. She poured her love into everything she did, especially in the kitchen. Her homemade meals brought comfort to everyone who gathered around her table, and she found joy in life's simple blessings: tending to her beautiful flower garden, sipping coffee on the porch and waiving to people passing by, preparing meals, and, most of all, being surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, sister, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose greatest happiness came from caring for those she loved deeply. Her life was built on a foundation of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and deep devotion to her family. Her home was always open, filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting smell of home-cooked meals. No one ever left her house empty-handed because giving was simply part of who she was. She loved with her whole heart, and her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Aurora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elias Bravo, Jr.; her parents, Fermina & Juan Treviño; her grandson, Joe Elias Bravo, Jr.; and her sisters, Sophia Jimenez, Irene T. Arellano, and Estella T. Silva.Aurora is survived by her loving children, Esperanza Barrera (Rufo Muniz), Alice Flores (Joe), Sylvia Guevara (Peter), Joe Bravo, Johnny Bravo (Mary Esther), Rosemary Molina (Raul), and Oscar Armando Bravo (Maggie) and stepdaughter, Sylvia Ann Sanchez. She will be forever cherished by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Oralia Garcia, Elena Tamez (Armando), Sulema Vela (Jesse), Rosalinda Herrera, Yolanda Martinez, and John Treviño (Rosa); along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Franklin Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
