Anthony Reade Alvarez

Anthony Reade Alvarez passed into his eternal rest in his Floresville, Texas home on October 30, 2025 at the age of 43. He was born to loving parents, Estella M. Alvarez & Anthony R. “Tony” Alvarez in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 28, 1982. Anthony was a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas where he was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church community. Anthony lived a life filled with love, faith, and family. He enjoyed cooking for those he loved and found his greatest joy in the time he shared with his mother and sisters. His gentle spirit and kind heart will always be remembered.

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolores & Tomás Maldonado and Amparo & Anthony Alvarez; his uncles, Tomás Maldonado Jr., Tony Peña, and Fernando Ramirez; and his Godmother, Sylvia Casanova. He is survived by his parents, Estella M. Alvarez and Anthony R. “Tony” Alvarez, and his sisters, Andrea R. Alvarez and Lauren M. Alvarez. Anthony is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Dolores Maldonado, Christina Ramirez, Alvin Maldonado, and Grace Peña (Eduardo Valdez), and his Godfather, Ismael Casanova. Anthony’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, including his sisters’ Godparents, Fernando & Norma Reyes, and numerous cousins, family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on November 10, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm and a funeral service will directly follow. The Alvarez family would like to thank the community for their kind words and help in keeping Anthony’s memory alive. R.I.P.
