Anita A. Viera

Anita A. Viera passed into the loving arms of the Lord on April 26, 2024 at her home in Floresville, Texas at the age of 82 years old.  She was born in San Marcos, Texas on February 8, 1942 to loving parents, Mary & Marcelino Acosta.  Anita was a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas where she raised her family with her beloved husband, Domingo Viera.  Anita was a woman of Faith who found a community at Sacred Heart Catholic Church once she retired to Floresville, Texas.  Anita poured her heart and soul into her family and her community, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.  She is survived by her husband, Domingo Viera, and her children, Frances Viera (Melvin Albert), Grace Viera Sotello (Gorge), Veronica V. Santos (Michael), Daniel Dominic Viera (Bobbie), and Joseph Viera (Mitcheal).  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sonny, Georgina, Dominga, Kristen, Katarina, Daniel Dominic Jr, Lily Arielle, Kaylee, Kendall, and Kameron.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Brian Jordan, Madison Faith, Emma Sunni, Sophia Marie, Serenity Grace, Avamarie, Elijah, Angelo Michael, Liam, and Olive.  Anita will also be forever cherished by her siblings, Marcelino Acosta Jr (Dorothy), Lorenzo Acosta (Diana), and Jesse J. Acosta (Mary Ellen).  Anita leaves behind a legacy of family, Faith, and love and truly left a mark on everyone she knew, including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday May 5, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be recited that evening at 6:00 pm in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on May 6, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will directly follow at San Jose Burial Park.  Pallbearers are: Daniel Dominic Viera, Daniel Dominic Viera Jr, Sonny Sotello, Brian Jordan Sotello, Joseph Viera, and David Garza.
