Obituary

Angelica Marquez passed into her eternal rest surrounded by her loving family in her Stockdale, Texas home on December 21, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born to Norberto & Emma Navarro on September 28, 1941 in El Carrizal, Jalisco, Mexico. Stockdale, Texas was Angelica's home and there, she built a life centered on family and faith.

Angelica was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 69 years, Benigno Marquez. Together they raised eight children, and Angelica gave her whole heart to being a mother and later a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she loved them with a steady, faithful love that never wavered. She watched over them, guided them, and cared for them in countless quiet ways. To her family, she was the heart of the home, the one who held everyone close and made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. She had a steady strength, the kind that showed up every day, holding her family together with patience, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Angelica is preceded in death by her parents, Norberto & Emma Navarro, and numerous siblings. She is survived by her husband, Benigno Marquez, and her children, Victor Marquez (Mary), Erika Almeida (Mike), Leticia Ramirez (Servando), Elizabeth Marquez, Michael Marquez (Cande), Hugo Marquez (Vicky), Norma Lerma (Mark), and Lorena Martinez (Kenneth). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Leandra, Gabriel, Yvonne, Chris, Amber, Bianca, Karina, Sebastian, Adreanna, Jacqueline, Miguel, Alonzo, Tristan, Joel, Mateo, Gabriela, Xavier, Andres, and Nicolas, along with her 12 great-grandchildren. Angelica truly touched the lives of everyone who knew her, especially her sister, Alicia Navarro, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will directly follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Stockdale, Texas.
