Allen "Boogie" Mayberry

Allen “Boogie” Mayberry passed into the loving arms of the Lord on June 28, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 72 years old.  He was born to loving parents, Matthew and Lillie Mayberry in Floresville, Texas on November 2, 1951.  Allen was a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas where he was a beloved member of the community and staple at Pruski’s Tire Shop.  He could often be found living out his passion at car shows and was an active member of local car clubs in south Texas.  Allen radiated joy wherever he went and leaves behind an incredible mark on this world.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew & Lillie Mayberry; his beloved wife, Lucille Mayberry; and his brother, Herman Mayberry.  He is survived by his siblings, Lillie M. Brooks, Matthew Mayberry Jr, Evelyn Wallace, Carolyn Foley, and Carle Mayberry (Jessie).  He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Katherine Mayberry as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery #2.  Pallbearers are: James Brooks III, Chris Mayberry, Grieg Brooks, Keith Allen Mayberry, Elliott Ross, and Mark Mayberry.  Honorary Pallbearers are: Omar Mayberry, Willie Foley Jr, Courtney Mayberry, Jermaine Mayberry, and Lamont Mayberry.
