Alice Flores Rios passed into her eternal rest on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born in Floresville, Texas on December 18, 1940, to Consuelo and Fernando G. Flores. A lifelong resident of Floresville, Alice devoted her life to caring for her beloved family.

Alice was a lifelong resident of Floresville and she was loved by everyone who knew her. Her life was filled with love and beautiful memories she created with many she loved and cared for. She was an amazing cook and baker. She always made sure to have extra masa for tortillas and beans in her freezer to offer you, it was her way of showing she cared. She loved music and dancing and was always listening to Vicente Fernandez or oldies on her iPad & would call you and just let the music play when you answered.

She was quick witted and always making everyone laugh with her jokes. She was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, we called her Mom. She was treasured by her neighbors and her neighborhood children lovingly knew her as Grandma Alice.

She was so kind hearted and filled with beautiful memories she shared and always gave the best advice. She made sure to pray for her family and spent hours saying daily prayers for each of us. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

She was greeted in heaven by her loving parents Consuelo & Fernando Flores, her siblings, Reynaldo Flores and Melicia Estrada, her daughter Connie Martinez, her grandson Ryan Rios and her great grandson Fernando James Alfaro Jr. Her grandson, Reynaldo Rios, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving children, Ronnie Flores (Jean), Delores Cruz (Roy), Elva Rios, and Bobby Rios (Diana). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Carlos Herrera (Amanda), Lea Belletz (Brian), Brandi Snyder (Michael), R.J. Cruz (Maddie), Fernando James Alfaro, Sr., Angel Rios, Elva C. Rios, Robert Luna, Robert James Rios, Jr., Sophia M. Rios, and Denia Alicia Rios; and great-grandchildren, Addie Herrera, Bryce and Elinor Belletz, Keiden, Aubree, and Samuel Snyder, Danika and Jocelyn Alfaro, Isabella Mathis, Anthony L. Morones, and Elva R. Martinez. Alice also leaves behind numerous neighbors and friends who adored her.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Franklin Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The Rios family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and help in keeping Alice’s memory alive.
