Adela Esquivel passed away on June 12, 2026, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 65. She was born on February 16, 1961, in Floresville to Paula Gonzalez and Jose Esquivel and was lovingly raised by Aurora and Matias Ruiz. A lifelong resident of Floresville, Adela was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family was evident in everything she did.
Adela had a servant's heart and showed her love through food. She was always cooking for her family and took great joy in gathering her loved ones around the table. She also looked forward to playing bingo and enjoyed every opportunity to visit with family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those closest to her will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents, Aurora and Matias Ruiz, as well as Paula Gonzalez and Jose Esquivel; and her siblings, Martin Esquivel, Maria Esquivel, and Joe Esquivel. She is survived by her children, Fernando Benavides, Randy Benavides, Adrian Benavides, and Brandon Esquivel. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Carolyn, Fernando Jr., Randy Jr., Ryan, Amee, Destiny, Ariana, Ayden, AJ, Avery, Wedo, Treasure, Knowledge, Angelina, Andrew, Brooklyn, Romello, Romeo, and Reydon. Adela is also survived by her siblings, Lupe Ruiz, Genevieve Medina (Joe), Lillie Peterson, Linda Esquivel, and Lilie Lozano (Mike), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Adela's life will be remembered through the love she shared, the meals she prepared, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the community for the many kind words, prayers, and expressions of support during this difficult time. Your love and compassion have been deeply appreciated.
